General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
New arrangements for protecting personal data will be introduced on 25 May 2018, through the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
SPPOA Privacy Statement:
SPPOA keeps members’ minimal contact details (given voluntarily when they join) – their start date/email/telephone/address, in order to inform them about meetings and other matters of importance and interest.
This information will not be shared, sold or used in any other way without a member’s explicit consent.
Members can ask at any time to see their data and/or to be taken off the SPPOA database and mailing list.
Permission is not sought to keep this data because it is required for the good running of SPPOA (‘legitimate interest’).
